Sergey Didenko, Sakhalin Salmon Initiative Center Director, Sakhalin
Sergey Didenko has over 30 years of experience in fisheries. For over a decade he directed a local fishing company under Swedish and Russian ownership. From 2004-2008, he served as Director of the Sakhalin Oblast FIsheries Department. Since leaving the Oblast, Didenko has served as a consultant to the Kuril islands regional government and has directed a local fisheries association.
Gennady Inozemtsev, Ph.D., Russia Program Manager, Moscow
Dr. Inozemtsev earned his undergraduate degree from the Moscow Power Institute and earned a Ph.D. from the Moscow Radio Electronics and Automatics Institute. He worked for many years in the Soviet electronics industry. For the past eight years, he has worked as a Russian affairs expert and management consultant for international firms and clients.
Vyacheslav Zvyagintsev, Wild Fishes and Biodiversity Foundation Director, Petropavlosk, Kamchatka
Mr. Zvyagintsev graduated from the Oil Institute of Groznyi (Chechnya) in 1977, in the department of engineering and hydrogeology. For 14 years he was at the State geology concern Kamchatgeologiya, where he rose to Chief of the Hydrogeology Service. After 1991 he worked as Deputy General Director of Sogzoi Company and Krechet Helicopter Company. Mr. Zvyagintsev became the official representative of the Wild Salmon Center and manager of its activities on Kamchatka in 2003.
Evgeniy Lobkov, Wild Fishes and Biodiversity Conservation Director, Petropavlosk, Kamchatka
In October 2006 Evgeny Lobkov, PhD, joined the Wild Fishes and Biodiversity Foundation on Kamchatka as Conservation Director. He holds several science degrees, including an MS in Biology from Lobachevsky State University and a PhD from the Nature Conservation Research Institute of the Russian Federation. He recently completed his post-doctorate dissertation in Ecology. For over two decades Dr. Lobkov worked at Kronotsky Nature Reserve organizing research and monitoring of avifauna. From 1995-2006 he served as Natural Resources Department Director for Yelizovo city, Kamchatka. Dr. Lobkov has led projects on ecological monitoring, creation of Protected Areas and World Heritage Sites, and organization of biodiversity conservation activities on these territories. Evgeny Lobkov is one of the co-authors of Endangered Species list of Kamchatka. Dr. Lobkov actively passes on his experience and knowledge not only in Russia, but abroad through publication of articles in newspapers, science journals and seminars. He has published nearly 200 scientific articles. In addition to his scientific work, Evgeny also serves as a member of the Kamchatka Legislature's Committee on Nature Protection.
Sergei Tikhonov, Assistant to the Director, Wild Fishes and Biodiversity Foundation, Petropavlovsk, Kamchatka
Sergei graduated from Kamchatka State Pedagogical University in 1999, in the department of foreign languages. He then worked in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy Customs service as a senior customs officer for three years. During that period, he graduated from Vladivostok Customs Academy. Since 2002, Sergei has been working for the Wild Fishes & Biodiversity Foundation as assistant to the director. He is currently a second year student of Moscow State University of Service in the correspondent department of tourism.
